The Miracle...Blog

Yes, you must be thinking that this better be the best piece of writing you have ever read if it can claim a title such as, The Miracle.  However, I hate to burst your bubble after only the first line to say that this will probably not be the best written blog site you have ever read--and if I'm lucky it may come across as at least average to the reader.

Nevertheless, I have had a burning desire to write about the miracles that I have seen in my life, as well as those close to me. And those stories are not 'average' by any means.  Heck, the fact I'm even writing this blog is a miracle because there were several instances where I should have been killed...however it's more of a miracle for me to write because I'm pretty busy.  I'm a stay-at-home Mom of a 2--and 4--year old, with a side wedding planning business who also helps to take care of my father-in-law who has Alzheimer's.  Time is of the essence for me as I see my two daughters growing so quickly and my father-in-law slipping away further each day.

However, before you think this is strictly another Mommy or care-taking blog, (although I will probably talk about my kids and my family sometimes--because lets face it, kids and a family who gets along are miracles in themselves,) my intention is just to share stories in my life where I have seen God do miracles.

Many people will expect that I'm going to discuss crying Mary statues or people coming out of comas-- and maybe I will, but my plan is to share about the every day ordinary miracles that I see happening all around me.  Fortunately in my life, I have seen my share of incredible interventions from God and I intend to share those stories.  However, I've also seen the more subtle every day "coincidences" that only give me the confidence that someone out there--is watching over me even in the small things.  And I can easily say that that person for me is Jesus.

Now, the beauty of telling miraculous stories are that there is always a conflict and they normally carry a perfect story arc that goes something like this:

Beginning, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, and Resolution...

Unfortunately, I have lived this story arc more times than I can count and the one thing I have learned is that without a dreaded problematic circumstance, there could be NO miracle.

As a former managing television producer who used to share these types of stories--I'd always ask my producers, "where's the story?...where's the conflict?...and how did they overcome it?"  The beauty of God creating the story is that all of the elements are there but 10 times out of 10 we really HATE walking through the story arc.    And yet, once there is a "miracle" or a "resolution"--we can look back and understand why we walked through the trial in the first place.

I hope you will take this journey with me as I share different stories with titles such as:  The Miracle on High Street , The Miracle on October 7 and The Miracle in Honduras.  My prayer is that these stories will uplift your soul and encourage you to write about your own miracles-- AND when you do-- I hope you post them in the comments section below so that I can be encouraged when I can't see the light in my own circumstances.

Until next time.
